College Infomation

NB Ajax's  College Advisory Program  has been established to assist all players and their families with the various aspects of the college athletics recruiting process. While education is the most important piece, it is also important to have a program in place to assist players in reaching their goal of the next level. Understanding that not all players will choose to continue to play soccer in college, they will still gain many benefits from this program that will be useful to them during their college search and admittance process.

We look forward to working with you during this exciting time.

College Recruiting Rules

Recruiting  rules have changed again and this is only for D1 schools. They went into effect May 1 of this year so lets break it down. The biggest change is that these new rules limit the timing and nature of communication between college coaches and athletes.

Here are the three updates to recruiting rules:

  • Zero communication between a coach and athlete until June 15 after sophomore year which mean no emails or calls from players or parents.
  • No official or unofficial visits until August 1 of junior year.
  • No off-campus contact until August 1 of junior year.
  • No verbal offers or commitments from student-athletes until June 15 after sophomore year.

Here is a link to a good article to help break it down.

For this upcoming year for soon-to-be freshman and sophomores, college coaches will only be allowed to discuss freshman or sophomore recruits with the club and high school coaches, but those conversations are limited to whether the coach is interested in recruiting their players.

For players that are interested in D1 schools, please let me know which ones as I can email them our schedules and keep them informed of your play.
