The reason why I coach is to inspire young people. I want them to see through soccer, just like life, you succeed best when you express yourself creatively and imaginatively; whilst still being mindful and kind to others. I believe soccer is unique because it is a team sport that also allows for individualism.

I also believe sport teaches you how to cope with your emotions better. I believe that I am really teaching the kids I coach about life and I am using soccer to do that. The game of soccer teaches you happiness, joy, loss, sadness, hope, patience, grief, renewal and many other emotional challenges. And this then prepares a young person to be better equipped to face these actual emotions when they arise in their lives.
